Willie D from the (Geto Boys) Convicted of Wire Fraud (Playing Tricks with I-Phones)
Willie D of The Geto Boys has been sentenced to one year and a day in federal prison after being convicted on wire fraud charges stemming from the false sale of I-Phones.
Willie was caught in a sting in May 2009 after fronting a company called Texas One Wireless, which sold I-Phones online but never delivered them.
He was also ordered to pay almost $200,000 as restitution to the 35 people he scammed between September of 2008 and April 2009. No word yet on where he'll be serving his time.
