ARREST MADE IN GOLF COURSE MURDER

A 17-year-old Antioch High School senior, Christian Walters has been arrested in what police are calling the gang-related fatal shooting of a man walking near the Nashboro Village golf course last week.

The student was arrested Tuesday at Antioch High and charged with in juvenile court with criminal homicide in the death of Dontrell McFadden, 21, of Murfreesboro Pike, according to Metro Police spokeswoman Kristin Mumford. McFadden was walking on Nashboro Boulevard near Long Hunter Court when he was shot. He was going to an apartment complex to meet friends, police said. The teen, who was riding past in a car, admitted that he fired shots at McFadden after the two exchanged opposing gang-related gestures, Mumford said in a news release. McFadden was taken to Southern Hills Medical Center, where he died.

More arrests are expected, police said.

HOME INVASION TURNS TO MURDER

Police were searching the people who shot and killed a man during a home invasion in northeast Nashville overnight. Just before 2:30 a.m. Wednesday several people broke into this trailer where a man and a woman were staying. The man was shot and killed. The woman ran outside to call police from a neighbor's phone.

Wednesday morning the suspects were still on the loose.

RIHANNA REACHES OUT TO JESSICA BIEL

Rihanna reportedly feels so bad about the rumors that she and Justin Timberlake are an item that she called his recently-ex flame, Jessica Biel, to set the record straight. Bossip.comis reporting, "We hear she went on a manhunt to find Jessica's number and reach out to her. The source says Rihanna doesn't want to be pegged as a home-wrecker. She knows how it feels to be cheated on, so she wouldn't want to do that to someone else."

DR. DRE: Jay-Z on Detox?

Dr. Dre's forthcoming Detox disc could include a track with Jay-Z. Dre tells M-T-V, "Actually, Jay-Z's just been in the studio doing some writing. Hopefully I'll get him to perform on the record. Jay, come holler!" The long-awaited Detox is the follow-up to Dre's album 2001 and completes a trilogy that began with 1992's The Chronic.

Dre -- who partnered with music mogul Jimmy Iovine last year to introduce Beats by Dr. Dre headphones -- unveiled the Beats by Dre H-P Notebook earlier this week. It'll be in stores October 22nd.

KOBE on Real Housewives??

According to one of our impeccable sources over at Bravo TV, producers are trying to convince NBA superstar Kobe Bryant's wife Vanessa Bryant to join the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Word around the network is that they're looking to add a high profile new castmate, and Vanessa is at the top of the list. But don't get too excited yet because nothing has been set or signed, even though we're told that there is "interest from Vanessa."

That sounds like a crazy new cast addition. I really hope they can pull that off.

Michael Strahan's BROTHERS not looking BROTHERLY

Trouble could be looming for Michael Strahan's new show Brothers. According to one of our snitches, FOX execs told the cast that if things don't pick up ratings-wise, they'll pull the plug on the entire series.

Our insider says that people working there are concerned that they might only have a couple of episodes left. Well, you know what? We've seen that show, and that sounds like a couple of episodes too many.

NFL OWNER PANS LIMBAUGH

Owners in the N-F-L are, as a group, identified as overwhelmingly Republican. But that didn't stop one owner from already coming out and opposing Rush Limbaugh joining the elite club of N-F-L owners. Jim Irsay of the Indianapolis Colts spoke out from the league's ownership meetings in Boston, saying, "I myself couldn't even think of voting for him. I'm very sensitive to know there are scars out there. I think as a nation we need to stop it. Our words do damage and it's something that we don't need. We need to get to a higher level of humanity and we have. ... I come from a different era where Marvin Gaye and John Lennon were speaking about [certain things] and we've been doing a slow crawl to some of the things they talked about. We don't need to go the other way."

Limbaugh, a Missouri native, is part of a group attempting to buy a controlling interest in the Saint Louis Rams. Beyond his controversial conservative political perspectives, Limbaugh has made incendiary comments that many feel are bigoted. In 2003, Limbaugh made comments about the Philadelphia Eagles black quarterback Donovan McNabb, saying his career was basically a creation by a sympathetic media, which got Limbaugh canned from his gig as a football commentator on E-S-P-N. Two years ago, Limbaugh said the N-F-L's Sunday contests were looking like "a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons."
