TN CREATED 7,700 JOBS WITH OBAMA MONEY
Officials said $215 million in stimulus spending in Tennessee has created more than 7,700 jobs. The data is part of the state's first report to the federal government on the effects of stimulus spending. The $215 million reflects spending on 310 projects through the end of September. Of those 310 projects, 258 were transportation projects. Deputy Gov. John Morgan said the state must make quarterly reports about stimulus spending over the course of the two-year program.
Tennessee's total share of stimulus money is $5.6 billion.

BEYONCE: Sending Papa Knowles Packing? |
Beyonce is said to be "very upset" over the paternity suit filed against her father, Mathew Knowles, so much so that she's considering letting him go as her manager. A source tells the National Enquirer that while Mathew and wife Tina have gone through rough patches in the past, Beyonce is "angry that her father didn't have enough sense to protect himself" in this situation. The source adds, "Beyonce says a big part of being successful and happy is being focused, and she can't do that when she has to deal with her father's antics." Alexandra Wright filed suit against Knowles in September, alleging he's the father of the child she's carrying. The Enquirer claims she filed the suit because she feared Knowles would terminate their relationship upon learning of the pregnancy. -- Jamila Daniel Kenny Asks:

Shyne says DIDDY Ain't NEVER reached out to Him
Shyne -- who remains in custody over his immigration status -- denies that Sean "Diddy" Combs' has been in touch with him or that the two are on good terms. A statement says, "I want it known that this supposed conversation is a figment of Sean Combs' imagination. He never spoke with me, he never visited me, nor would I ever accept a phone call or visit from him. The only way I would do either of those things would be if he stepped up and did the right thing for the victims of the incident."

MORE BLACK LAW STUDENTS THAN EVER
There are now more African-Americans enrolled in law school than ever before, according to the Journal of Blacks in Higher Education. It reveals that during the 2008-2009 academic year there were nine thousand, eight hundred and 82 black students attending the country's 197 accredited law schools, the largest number ever enrolled at U-S law schools. The number of African-Americans enrolled in law school has climbed from approximately four- to nearly ten-thousand since 1972. Black student enrollment in law schools last year went up three-and-a-half-percent from the 2007-2008 school year, and their ranks now make up six-and-a-half-percent of all law school enrollments.
WEST QUESTIONS PRESIDENT'S PEACE PRIZE
Although Cornel West "celebrates" President Obama's winning the Nobel Peace Prize, he questions the factors that lead to the decision. The scholar and Princeton University Professor tells E-U-R Web, "I think that it puts brother Barack in a very tough situation because if you got a Peace prize and you end up being a war president in Afghanistan, if you got a Peace prize and you don't want to investigate and prosecute people who have been torturing people, turn your back, it doesn't look good. You know, you already sent 21-thousand troops. You might send 65-thousand troops. That's not a Peace Prize-acting activity."

WHITE GIRL WINS MS. HAMPTON UNIVERSITY - ANGERS BLACK WOMEN
Controversy is brewing at historically black Hampton University in Virginia after a white student, Nikole Churchill, was crowned "Miss Hampton" last week. Many students are upset that a white student won the crown, saying she won't be able to do a good job representing the student body.
Churchill has been getting so much heat that she's even reached out to President Obama, writing, "I am hoping that perhaps you would be able to make an appearance to my campus, Hampton University, so that my fellow Hamptonians can stop focusing so much on the color of my skin and doubting my abilities to represent, but rather be proud of the changes our nation is making towards accepting diversity."
