JARROD PHILLIPS ARRESTED FOR TSU EMPLOYEE MURDER

Metro police arrested a man Tuesday night for murder of Nathaniel Adefope on TSU's campus. Police said the suspect, 23-year-old Jarrod Phillips, was a temporary farm employee. Adefope was the poultry plant supervisor found stabbed and beaten inside his workplace on September 8. DNA results proved that Phillips' DNA was on the victim's body.

Phillips is a convicted felon and is being held in the Metro jail on a $500,000 bond.

Harold Eugene Newsome MURDER at James Cayce Projects

Harold Eugene Newsome is believed to have been murdered by someone in his neighborhood. A black man with dreadlocks in his 20's is the main suspect. Call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME if you have any information on this case.

Plaxico Burress Get Two Joints

Former New York Giants star Plaxico Burress was officially sentenced to two years in prison yesterday. A tearful Burress kissed his pregnant wife and two-year-old son goodbye, and hugged his father, stepmother and grandmother before being led from the New York courtroom off to jail.

Burress's multi-million-dollar football career came unraveled last November 29th at a New York nightclub when a 40-caliber handgun he had slid down his pant leg and discharged -- shooting him in the leg. Burress was subsequently sidelined by the team for the rest of the season and then cut him in the off-season. New York has a mandatory penalty of three-and-a-half years for criminal possession of a weapon. Burress pleaded guilty to a lesser charge in exchange for a reduced sentence.

First Kanye West ... then Lil Mama ... now Jay Z?

Last Friday Coldplay artist Chris Martin was performing before a packed house at Britain's Wembley stadium when all of a sudden during his set Jay Z comes on stage. He said a few words to the crowd and then he tackled the Coldplay lead singer to the ground. The two guys are friends so the tackle was probably just a joke, but that didn't stop it from looking pretty disturbing.

After Jay was done he just walked off the stage like nothing happened, and Chris Martin was left on the floor. He dusted himself off and continued performing, but the crowd was pretty stunned at what happened. No wonder Jay and Kanye are friends!

Attention Monger and Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Kim Zolciak may have a secret stripper past! Sources are saying that Zolciak worked for 3 months at Atlanta's "Cheetah Club" making a fair amount of cash under the pseudonym "Barbi." Kim was quick to comment on the claims saying she didn't work onstage but was just a cocktail waitress at the club. Well, I ain't going...That's the second housewife that used to work at a scrip club. I wonder if they're gonna get back onstage...
