JENNIFER HUDSON: Campaigning to Play Aretha

Jennifer Hudson continued her campaign to play Aretha Franklin in an upcoming bio-pic at a corporate performance in New York. According to the New York Post, Hudson did a medley of hits made famous by Franklin at the Hearst Corporation's 125th anniversary party.

The singer and actress told the crowd it was her plan to play Aretha and asked, with all the media heavyweights in attendance, "Is anyone listening?"

Franklin has mentioned several names of women she would have play her, but has never specifically mentioned Hudson.
