PRISON FIGHT: Arizona Brawl Among 200 Inmates Clash, Several Injured

A huge melee broke out Thursday afternoon at the Arizona State Prison Complex in Tucson among 200 inmates, leaving several injured.

As a result of the brawl, the prison will be on lockdown for several days. The fighting reportedly started about 5:30 p.m. in the Santa Rita Unit yard where there were some 200 inmates. According to corrections spokesman Bill Lamoreaux, guards were able to get the prison back under control within 30 minutes without the use of force. At least 10 people were reportedly taken to hospitals with injuries.
