FINANCE: The Worst Cities for African-American Mortgages

The National Council of Negro Women recently released a report that found African-American and Hispanic women continue to receive unequal treatment in the mortgage process.
Middle- and upper-income black women were at least twice as likely to receive high-cost loans as middle- and upper-income women females in more than 84 percent of the cases studied. And Hispanic women in the same income group were at least twice as likely to receive high-cost loans as white females in the income group in almost 62 percent of the cases reviewed.
The study also listed the 10 cities where African-Americans and Hispanic woman were the least like to encounter fair home-lending practices.
