EDDIE MURPHY: 2015 Mark Twain Prize Winner

Eddie Murphy has been named this year's recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. The SNL alumnus and star of such classic comedies as 48 Hours, Beverly Hills Cop and the reboot of The Nutty Professor will be honored at an October 18th Washington, DC gala.

Richard Pryor was the award's first recipient back in 1998. Since then, the winners have included Will Ferrell, Carl Reiner, George Carlin, Bob Newhart and Carol Burnett. (New York Times)
