KANYE WEST, COMMON: Rumored to Star in New Spike Lee Film

Chicago's reputation for violence is infamous -- which is why Spike Lee may be planning to shoot there. The Wrap reports that Lee's working on a new project with Amazon studios titled Chiraq.

While plot details are being kept secret much like his last film, Da Sweet Blood of Jesus, there are some rumors about who could end up in the cast. Chicago natives Kanye West and Common are rumored to take part, as is Jeremy Piven. And it's a safe bet that with a name like Chiraq, the film will speak on the city's notoriously high crime rate that's been compared to a warzone.

Neither Amazon nor Lee have officially confirmed the project's existence at this time. (Shadow&Act)
