CHEERS: Smart Bracelet Knows How Drunk You Are

A wristband called Vive uses sensors to track your dehydration and intoxication levels. In other words, it knows how drunk you are and knows how bad your hangover will be. The device, designed by a group of University of Wisconsin students, also allows friends to link their wristbands, creating a “party.” Every so often, Vive will vibrate. Squeezing the band in response lets everyone know you’re safe and enjoying yourself. If there’s no answer, the wristband alerts others that you are unconscious or otherwise not inclined or able to respond. Which means your buddies should come to the rescue if you’ve fallen and can’t get up.
