Anderson Cooper under fire...This is BS!!
The N-double-A-C-P recently came under fire for nominating C-N-N's Anderson Cooper for an Image Award. And Essence is getting flack for putting N-F-L star Reggie Bush on the February cover of its magazine, which celebrates black love.
The website Womanist-Musings.com declares, "Anderson Coopers' nomination is a slap in the face to all of the people of color who work in the news industry that don't get recognized... Kt is unconscionable to claim that this award is to help challenge racism and then nominate one of the most privileged people on television today."
Comments in response to the Essence cover include, "Why is there a white supremacist on the cover of Essence magazine? Because any person who thinks white women are better is indeed a white supremacist," and "This Brotha don't dig us, so why, pray tell, do we have to see his face staring back at us, on a magazine that celebrates us?
Kenny Says: Anderson Cooper deserves this award. He's done alot via journalism for Black Folks! Come on yall...we said we wanted Change! Well, there it is!!!
On the Reggie Bush comments. Negroes can just be so damn IGNANT at times. A White Supremist? Really!???

I'm commenting on my man Anderson at the Womanist-Musings website. He's the greatest. As far as Reggie Bush, white supremacist is extreme. That's all I gotta say about that.

I'm not calling Reggie Bush a white supremacist, but I don't think he needs to be on the cover of ESSENCE, a magazine that is dedicating to black love. He doesn't love black women, so I agree on that issue. As far as Anderson Cooper, he is all right.
One thing that isn't mentioned is Chris Johnson, RB for the Titans being a pitchman for products. This was in the City Paper on yesterday. He says what you see is what you will get. Then what will he pitch, nasty looking dregs and an ugly gold grill. He is not articulate. All he can do is play football and play it well, but he basically looks unclean. I'm not hating on the young man, he just needs some polish. If he is like the average football player, he will pick a white woman who basically doesn't care about him, just his money. I don't understand why these football players think that if they were broke, these women would talk to them.There are many beautiful, intelligent, well educated black women who are in college. But I digress. I wish him well in all his endeavors, but I wonder if he really looks in the mirror. He makes plenty of money and should really have something done to that head.
