YOUNG THUG: Album Named Changed Due to Legal Threat

Last week, we found out Lil Wayne didn't approve of Young Thug's so-called homage, when he launched into a vulgar rant on-stage against the artist's plan to call his record The Carter 6. Despite Thugger stating he had no plans to beef with his "idol," it seems a lot can change in a week.

The Rich Gang artist posted a clip to Instagram, teasing the upcoming project. In the clip, a female narrator says some threatening words, ending with "[screw] you I kill you," the words Barter 6, the LP's new title, then flash on the screen.

He explained the name change in a follow-up post to Instagram Monday night, "Can't name the mixtape Carter 6 because these [expletive n-words] trying to sue, just like some hoes. Big old Blood so I'mma go Barter 6. On the [damn] way."

Barter 6 is expected to be released Friday.

Say What:

You can't blame Weezy for trying to protect his assets.

Wayne shouldn't let it get to him, he's just giving Thug more press.

Birdman's masterminding all of this to get in Weezy's head.

Sure will be awkward when Wayne and Young Thug are at the Annual Blood Family Jamboree.
