WU TANG-CLAN: Will They Do Better Tomorrow?

With Taylor Swift, AC/DC, Sam Smith, and One Direction in the upper reaches of the Billboard 200,, it was another slow week for hip-hop in the sales department, according to the latest SoundScan figures.

Wu-Tang Clan's highly anticipated reunion album, Better Tomorrow, sadly debuted at number-29 -- only moving about 25,000 records. Mary J. Blige's 10th studio album, the London Sessions, also debuted this week, peaking at number-nine with 56,670 units sold. Eminem's ShadyXV fell from number-three to number-21, moving a little over 33,000 units. And for her 52nd week on the charts, Beyonce held it down at number-39 for the second week in a row with her self-titled release moving almost 20,000 copies.

The Quickies:

Damn, Wu-Tang. This was supposed to be a banger.

Mary J. already knew she wasn't selling much with this album. Maybe it will do better on the U.K. charts.

Beyonce must really be a Goddess. How does she last for 52 weeks when people like Wu-Tang are barely charting?
