We Want To Do 92 Free Prom Makeover For Some Much Deserving Students!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NASHVILLE, TN (February 23, 2011) – From the time an adolescent understands the excitement and fairy-tale quality associated with the High school Prom, he or she is in full anticipation of that magical night. With this understanding, Xclusive Outreach, which serves as the outreach committee to the PlayMakers Foundation, is gearing up to provide 92 underserved students with complete prom attire and mini-makeovers during the 1st Annual Xclusive Moment’s Dress Me Prom-A-Thon. In order to fulfill this promise, this non-profit outreach committee is encouraging all of Nashville businesses and individuals to become Glam Angels by donating their Prom useful products, services, and/or gently worn formal dresses, suits, tuxedos, shoes, and accessories to aid in making the wishes of the 92 students come to life! Beginning immediately, businesses and/or individuals can drop off donations for the 1st Annual Xclusive Moment’s Dress Me Prom-A-Thon at Studio 615 located at 2922-B West End Avenue.

“For many young people Prom never happens simply because of the lack of funds required to purchase a dress, hair, make-up etc. This Xclusive Moments Dress Me Prom-A-Thon will substitute and fill-in; meeting the parents half-way. The Glam Angels are here to give back and uplift, the youth providing them with the opportunity to have their Prom wishes filled!” Nyke, Owner of Xclusive Make-Up Studio

To date, a host of Nashville businesses have combined their resources to jump-start the Dress Me Prom-A-Thon initiative; Boutique Studio 615 will donate dresses, accessories and is serving as the Official Drop-Off location for donations, Xclusive Make-Up Studio serving as the visionary behind the event and providing mini-makeovers, Classic Hair Studio and Eden Salon both providing hair makeovers, D&K Men’s Wear to provide the men’s wear, and 92Q Nashville’s Big Station to serve as the Official Media Affiliate. The Xclusive Moment’s Dress Me Prom-A-Thon is still in need of in-kind donations of gift cards to hair and nail salons or spas, donations of gently worn formal dresses, suits, tuxedos, shoes, and accessories, and restaurant gift certificates for dinner for two.

About Xclusive Outreach:

The Xclusive Outreach Program was developed as a solution to aid with bridging the gap and creating an environment for minority women to share their successes, triumphs, and failures with their peers and younger generations of women. Nyke’ a Professional Make-Up Artist and owner of Xclusive Make-up Studio, created a unique avenue to do all of the above.

Xclusive Outreach serves the minority women of Nashville through creating an opportunity for makeup artists and beauty professionals to serve the community via networking, mentoring, sharing, pampering and training women and girls. This social initiative was birthed from the understanding that women of color need extra care and support to tackle career challenges, the discovery of self-worth, family pressures, social obstacles and life stress altogether. Is this open to 92Q listening area or just the high schools mentioned?
