Trinidad James Gets Welcomed into the Def Jam Family

Ever since Trinidad James' "All Gold Everything" music video started making the rounds online, folks have been wondering whether the virtual overnight sensation would sign to a record label, and if so, which one?  On Thursday, Def Jam let the cat out of the bag, announcing on Twitter: "Welcome @TrinidadJamesGG to the Def Jam Team! Woo!"

The news comes just after Trinidad performed a sold-out show in New York City this month, also taking the stage as a surprise guest during Trey Songz's Chapter V concert at Madison Square Garden.  He's been getting props from regular fans and music stars, too, including Erykah Badu.  She quoted his "All Gold Everything" line "'Don't believe me jeh watch'" in a tweet, adding, "Just need that Trinidad confidence."
