TIDAL was exploding just a week ago, but after the star-studded launch and prominent announcements of exclusive content, Jay Z's artist-owned streaming service is already making internal adjustments.

Business Insider reports that 25 employees of the company were fired. Andy Chen, who was the CEO of Aspiro when Hova acquired and renamed it, was forced out in the restructuring. TIDAL calls the reports exaggerated and claims that there were only a handful of layoffs.

Jay Z has been doing what he can to get TIDAL off the ground, recently making personal phone calls to subscribers to thank them and exclusively dropping his video for "Glory" on the service.

Say What:

This may not be the layup Jay thought it was.

Hov's a businessman, he does what he feels is necessary to make money.

New owners are going to make staffing changes. Don't make more out of it than that.

Nobody's trying to pay extra for what they feel like they can get for free elsewhere.
