MONICA LEWINSKY: Bill Clinton Bumps Her From Event

It's been 20 years since the Monica Lewinsky scandal, but there's still an uneasiness about the former White House intern being anywhere near President Bill Clinton.

Lewinsky, who has become an anti-bullying activist, was scheduled to attend Town & Country magazine's annual Philanthropy Summit but claims she was uninvited when President Clinton joined the lineup. Clinton was added to introduce Emma Gonzalez, the Parkland, Florida school shooting survivor who's become a leading gun control activist.

Lewinsky called out the magazine in a tweet writing, "Dear world: please don’t invite me to an event (esp one about social change) and –then after I’ve accepted– uninvite me because Bill Clinton then decided to attend/was invited. It’s 2018." She added, "P.S. …and definitely, please don’t try to ameliorate the situation by insulting me with an offer of an article in your mag." Town & Country has not commented. (NY Post)

*  She's right. It's been 20 years. Let's move on.

*  In defense of the magazine, having Clinton and Lewinsky at the same event could detract attention away from the purpose of the event.

T.I.: Restaurant Partner Files for Bankruptcy

T.I.’s restaurant, Scales 925, has been closed since 2016. And now, Tip and his business partner have filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Tip’s main partner in the venture, Charles Hughes, started the liquidation process after being hit with multiple lawsuits from former employees. Hughes says the business has only $5000 in assets. The IRS and Georgia Department of Revenue still need to crunch the numbers to determine what, if anything, they’re owed.

T.I. has said all he did was put his money behind and lend his name to the shuttered Atlanta seafood spot -- and was hands-off when it came to day-to-day operations. (The Blast)
