Think before you shoot! A seven-year veteran of the Memphis, Tennessee police department is currently suspended after authorities say she appeared in a low-budget rap video.
Officer Paris Glass was reportedly recorded in the background of a clip in which several women wearing gang colors dance and strut to a tune titled "What’s Up, B?” The video has already garnered more than 7000 views on YouTube.
According to WREG, the Memphis Police Department is investing to determine the extent of Glass's involvement and if any MPD policies were violated. She's on non-enforcement duty pending the outcome of an administrative hearing.
This isn't the first time a rap video has gotten a Memphis officer in trouble. In 2012, Officer Candyance Davis, an aspiring rapper also known as Quolove, sang about violence and getting paid.
The Quickies:
She's in a video perpetuating the behavior that police use to stereotype black people. Way to go!
Shoot a person, get off. Shoot a video and lose your livelihood.
