Is the First Lady wrong for wearing shorts?
First lady Michelle Obama has been catching some flak for recently stepping out of Air Force One wearing shorts. According to observers, it's the first time a first lady has been seen wearing short in public.
Personally, I think it's fine. She looks good in them! I mean hell, she ain't break out the "Daisy Dukes" or "Dem Cutters"!!!

The biggest story in sports is the un-retirement of NFL quarterback Brett Favre.
Favre retiring and un-retiring isn't, in itself, big news. But, Favre joining the Minnesota Vikings, the archrivals of the Green Bay Packers, certainly is.

Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes is dishing some dirt...on herself.
The outspoken reality star reveals in her new memoir that she was a stripper. She writes, "Yes, I was a stripper, a woman who took her clothes off and danced for dollars. Let the judgment ensue. I mean, it's easy enough to do, right?"
NeNe says she started dancing, under the name Silk, to make ends meet after her relationship with the father of her oldest son ended.
Here’s what the NY Daily News is reporting:
What difference does it make if I danced or not?" she asks. "Is the sun going to stop shining? Is my past taking food out of your mouth?"
While she may never admit that undressing for money wasn't the wisest career choice, she does feel the need to explain her reasons for doing so. "[I stripped] for the sake of my son, and to restore my confidence in myself," she explains. "My son was in private school, his father wasn't chipping in for pull-ups or food, I had no job and no money coming in, the rent was past due, and the super told me and my roommate that our condo owner was about to put us out. It was about survival."
But Nene - who called herself Silk during her dancing days as a nubile twentysomething - admits that she liked the power that came with being an exotic dancer. "I could make $500 off one guy just by turning him on," she confides in the Touchstone Books tome. These men "were obviously there to see what I had, and I quickly realized that those men weren't there to make me feel bad about myself."

FIRST OF ALL THEY NEED TO LEAVE MICHELLE OBAMA ALONE BECAUSE THEY ARE STRAIGHT HATIN ON MY ROLE MODEL. WHAT THEY EXPECT FOR THE LADY TO WEAR? DRESS PANTS 24/7? SHES ONLY HUMAN!!!! I THINK HER SHORT ARE PERFECT. HELL SHES HALF WAY INSPIRING ME TO STOP WEARING DAISY DUKES. SHE IS SETTING A NEW TREND FOR THE YOUNG LADIES SUCH AS MYSELF..THE MEDIA NEEDS TO GO READ A BOOK AND LET HER ENJOY HER VACATION. I think if the shorts were a little longer, maybe to the knee it would not have been an issue. She looks good in them and she in not stank so these people need to get over it.

yeah I'm with you Robin...Barry White will always be the man...He was a big man, but he had VOICE and the SEX appeal that could knock you off your feet.
As for our first lady...There's nothing wrong with her wearing shorts in public "she's human" too...personally our proud of Mrs. Obama (Michelle)...go girl do your thang...

I think Michelle is fine in shorts..she is after all the first lady...who better to lead with proper summer attire than her. I think the media puts to much emphasis on upstaging former presidents wives, other than her being her natural real self at that point and time which was being comfortable.

It is quite obvious that ppl have to point out something about First Lady Obama in order to keep her in the news but this is very ridiculous. I applaud her for keeping it real and not allowing society dictate what is appropriate or inappropriate to wear.

It is darn near a million degrees outside! If she wants to wear shorts, oh well!!! She has the right to pick and choose what she wears and where she wears it to! She looks good in her shorts. Some people tend to forget that even though she is the 1st lady she is also still a person just like the rest of us! Why should she be ina skirt, blouse, and heels when she isn't doing official business? Do you wear your dress clothes to take your kids to the park or to go grocery shopping? NO!!! Why is it that it's ok for you to wear shorts but she can't? Heck maybe someone will pick up a few pointers on what they should and shouldn't wear during the summer! YOU LOOK GOOD MRS OBAMA!!!

LOL that lady did a album promo in an electronic store....using THEIR equipment! She was preaching and went into a sales pitch, ahhhhhhh....that's comedy. It reminds me of that Rickey Smiley skit "We Miss Robert".

I promise I would not have even noticed she was wearing shorts if it had not been pointed out. I guess it's such a normal thing that it just slipped past. Now if she decides to throw on a clock necklace and a viking helmet...

NeNe--she did what she felt she had to do to. Who am I to judge--at least she didn't make a lifelong career out of it--she's been married for a good number of years now and seems to be happy.
Oh, huuummmmm, nobody is saying anything much about the two other gold diggers on the show. Wonder why????!!!!!
