JOHN LEGEND: Obama Bringing Out the Best and Worst

John Legend says his faith in America was renewed with Barack Obama's election, but now he thinks he's seeing the country at its worst. Legend tells Toronto's Metro News, "It feels like there's an extremist element in America that's been awakened. Part of it is the economy, part of it is a black president and some in the States are concerned that the America they knew is slipping away from them. It sounds like they're truly afraid of him."

Though Legend has recorded some socially conscious songs, he tries to keep his views separate from his artistry. "I like to keep things universal and focus on the music. People come to get away from problems at a show, so I don't want to be too heavy."

CASH MONEY RECORDS IS RELOADED - BOW WOW: Signs With Cash Money

After announcing his retirement last year, Bow Wow has confirmed he's signed with Cash Money Records, joining Birdman, Lil' Wayne, Drake and the Young Money Crew. Bow Wow says on UStream.com, "It's the triple threat Bow, Wayne, Drake. Its about to be real stupid... What I am getting ready to do, I got y'all. I apologize to the fans that I let down. It's [getting ready] to go down. It's on now, baby. Me, Drake and Weezy...let's get to the money."

Bow Wow had considered joining T-I's label Grand Hustle label or Jermaine Dupri's So So Def a couple of weeks ago, even asking his Twitter followers to weigh in on the decision.

Omarion also recently joined the Cash Money roster.

COURT TO HEAR TROY DAVIS CASE THANKS TO TOM JOYNER MORNING SHOW

COURT WILL HEAR DAVIS'S EVIDENCE

Yesterday the Supreme Court ruled Georgia death row inmate Troy Davis to present evidence he says will clear him in the 1989 murder of Officer Mark Allen MacPhail. The court ordered a federal judge to "receive testimony and findings of fact as to whether evidence that could not have been obtained at the time of trial clearly establishes [Davis'] innocence." Since his trial began in 1991, Davis has avoided execution at least twice and seven witnesses have recanted their stories. Others have implicated another man as MacPhail's shooter.

SKINNY GIRLS HAVE BETTER SEX - According to Mo'Nique

After years of proclaiming "skinny girls are evil," Mo'Nique is boasting about her recent 40-pound weight loss. The actress was encouraged to drop the extra baggage after having a conversation with her husband, telling Jet magazine, "What he said to me was motivation....[not] judgmental. He said, 'Baby, that's too much and I want you for a lifetime.'" And there's an added perk for her husband -- "The sex is better! I have so much more energy. I can move around better, and that's what it's all about. I want to lose more, so I'll just keep eating better and exercising, and the weight will come off. It took time to put in on, and it will take time to take it off."

Mo'Nique insists she's still okay with being a big girl, saying she plans to go no lower than 200 pounds.
