CHRIS BROWN: Shut-Out by BET?

A number of stars paid tribute to Michael Jackson at Sunday night's B-E-T Awards, but Chris Brown wasn't among them, and sources say Jay-Z is behind the snub. Sources say that Hova -- still livid over Brown's beating of Rihanna in February -- told B-E-T execs he and wife Beyonce would pull out of their own performances if Brown were allowed to participate. Neither reps for Brown nor the show returned our call for comment.

Ironically, no one objected to The O'Jays receiving their Lifetime Achievement honor from Soul Train's Don Cornelius, who was also arrested for domestic violence last year.

MICHAEL JACKSON: Coroner Removes Drugs; Ticket Info (audio)

Investigators from the Los Angeles Coroners Office were back at Michael Jackson's L-A-area residence yesterday, and reportedly removed two large bags of medication as evidence. There's no report of what medications were hauled off by investigators or what type of toxic cocktail could have been in the King of Pop's system at the time of his death. There have been an increasing number of reports that Jackson received a daily shot of the pain medicine Demerol.

HOT MESS OF THE DAY: Cheetos as a Weapon

Tennessee cops responding to a domestic violence call found a couple fighting with an usual weapon -- Cheetos. According to police in Bedford County, 40-year-old James Earl Taylor and 44-year-old Mary S. Childers became "involved in a verbal altercation...at which time Cheetos potato chips were used in the assault. However, there were no physical marks on either party, and the primary aggressor was unable to be determined."

Both Taylor and Childers were arrested and released after posting bond.

INTERNET FIND OF THE DAY

As expected, the Michael Jackson conspiracy theory websites have started sprouting up all over the Internet, with all suggesting that the King of Pop has faked his death. One of the best is MichaelJacksonDeathHoax.com.

I personally would have enjoyed Chris' performance much better than Beyonce & Jay-z!

On the Chris Brown situation he made a major mistake that is gonna haunt him 4 the rest of his life. But who put Jay-Z in charge of the BET awards allowing him to say he or Beyonce want show up if Chris does. Wow! All I have to say is a whole lot of them (artist) on the BET awards have some type of skelton in there closet from the past and present but we as black americans need to try to come together and not try to knock each down because we made a mistake/major mistake. What happen to forgive and forget and move on.

I think we need to stop putting celebrities on pedestals. I know too many disposable heroes in our communities that do not get any recognition for advocating the our communities be nonviolent.
