WHITNEY HOUSTON'S COMEBACK A LITTLE ROCKY ON GMA

The "comeback" performance Whitney Houston gave yesterday on A-B-C's Good Morning America may have been "sweetened," according to a source on the show. Houston -- who taped the show at New York's Central Park on Tuesday -- even acknowledged her less than-stellar performance, so producers scrambled to clean it up. The source tells Gawker, "The company line will be, 'She sounded great to the crowd, so we wanted to correct technical errors that occurred in the process of recording her performance.' Rather than the reality, which is, 'She didn't sound good, and a news broadcast is altering the performance of a guest.' This is not standard, nor has this ever happened before with a music performance on G-M-A." As we reported yesterday, Houston blamed her troubles on talking too much on Oprah the day before.

HALLE BERRY PREGNANT

43-year-old Halley Berry is three-months pregnant with her second child, reports Life and Style magazine. A source close to Halle and the baby's father, model Gabriel Aubry, says, "Halle is overjoyed. The first time, she struggled so much to get pregnant and eventually conceived through in-vitro fertilization. This time, the baby was conceived through artificial insemination." Halle's daughter Nahla was born in 2007.

JOYCE DEWITT SWAG SURFING IN HER CAR

Three's Company star Joyce DeWitt has been charged with D-U-I after being arrested in July. DeWitt, 60, had a blood alcohol content of point-one-five, almost two times over the legal limit. Radar Online says she'll plead not guilty when she's arraigned next week.
