THE GAME, SNOOP DOGG: Anti-Violence Gang Summit

The Game ​and Snoop Dogg ​are stepping up in an attempt to squash gang violence. The two artists hosted an anti-­violence summit with gang members on Sunday to discuss ways to keep the peace and improve quality of life. The Compton rapper reached out to members of the Crips, Bloods and other street gangs and invited them to come to South Los Angeles for a “much ­needed conversation.” Media reports said that several hundred people attended. The town hall meeting was called Time to Unite: United Hoods + Gangs Nation. (Los Angeles Times)
