Brock Turner, the former Stanford University student athlete convicted of sexual assaulting a woman at a January 2015 fraternity party, was sentenced to jail for six months.
But the 21-year-old will soon be released after only three months.
According to Santa Clara County jail records, Turner is set to be released on Friday, Sept. 2, with his sentence cut in half due to good behavior, SF Gate reports. PEOPLE reached out to the jail for further comment.
In March, Turner was found guilty of three felonies for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman behind a dumpster at a on-campus fraternity party in January 2015.
