A South Carolina coastal town has tentatively approved an ordinance that bans singing, whistling, hooting and hollering on public streets late at night. The proposal could get its final approval by the Sullivan's Island Town Council in July. Town administrator Andy Benke says wording for the ordinance comes from North Charleston, South Carolina where loud, annoying singing is already illegal, but a spokesman for the North Charleston police says he can't recall anyone being fined in that city for singing.
