How's this for a last-minute Christmas present? There's a 38-unit apartment complex in Park City, Utah for low-income families called Newpark Studios.
And a few days before Christmas, everyone who lives there got a note on their door saying they didn't have to pay January rent . . . because it was already PAID.
Late last month, the building manager got a phone call from someone who asked to remain anonymous. And they paid rent for the entire apartment complex.
Each unit rents for between $500 and $700 a month. So it worked out to about $25,000 total.
The manager says she posted the notes, and started getting phone calls from residents about 30 minutes later, asking if it was for real or not. And a few of them actually broke down in tears when she told them it was.
