NORA EPHRON: Writer-Director Dead at 71

Sleepless in Seattle writer-director Nora Ephron died today (Tuesday). She was 71. Her credits also included such blockbuster romantic comedies as You've Got Mail and When Harry Met Sally, the drama Silkwood and the time-traveling food adventure Julie & Julia.

A three-time Academy Award nominee, Ephron died of pneumonia related to leukemia, according to her son, Jacob Bernstein. She is also survived by her third husband, Goodfellas writer Nicholas Pileggi.
