The Golden State Warriors will meet LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals, starting on June 4th. The Warriors earned the right by finishing off James Harden, Dwight Howard and the rest of the Houston Rockets 104-90 on Wednesday night to take the Western Conference Championship four-games-to-one.
It's the Warriors first trip to the Finals since 1975 in a match-up that will put the NBA's recently crowned MVP Steph Curry up against four-time MVP LeBron James.
On Wednesday night, Rockets star Harden went ice cold, making just two of 10 shots in 44 minutes, while the Warriors' Klay Thompson remained hot, scoring 20. Harden also turned the ball over 13 times, which gives him the dubious distinction of setting a new league record during a playoff game.
Curry led the Warriors with 26 points while Harrison Barnes chipped in with 24. (USA Today)
