NATE DOGG: Battle Over Estate Gets Messy

Things have gotten messy in the battle over the estate of the legendary Nate Dogg. The son of the late rapper, Naijel Hale says Latoya Calvin married his father to get at the rapper's assets.

Hale says that Calvin caused the car accident that led to Nate Dogg’s multiple strokes and eventual death. He claims Calvin married his father while he was mentally incapacitated and incapable of making proper legal decisions. Hale’s mother, Rhoda Mouton, has also joined the fray, pointing out that Latoya didn’t even attend Nate’s funeral.

The estate claims Nate and Latoya separated and filed for divorce 19 days after getting married, though that divorce was not finalized at the time of the artist’s death. (TMZ)

Say Whaaat:

The estate includes a $350,000 house in Pomona, California, as well as music publishing.

The more money and family involved, the uglier these things tend to get.

Hopefully, this can be resolved amicably out of respect for the dead and his legacy.

He has five other kids, so this may just be the beginning of the finger-pointing and name-calling.
