Mona Scott is being hit with a $50 million copyright infringement suit claiming she stole the idea for the hit VH1 reality series, Love & Hip-Hop.
8th Wonder Entertainment's Nicki Lum-Davis and Trisha Lum are suing the Love and Hip Hop creator with fraud, breach of contract and breach of confidence. The two claim that they developed and pitched a show to VH1 called Hip-Hop Wives, which was set to included DMX’s ex-wife Tashera Simmons, Chrissy Lampkin, Mashonda Tifere, and Debbie Lorenzo, the ex-wife of Irv Gotti.
According to legal documents, the plaintiff's say VH1 rejected their idea and was later repackaged as Love & Hip-Hip.
Neither VH1 nor Scott-Young has commented on the suit as yet.
