Macy's Walmart and Other Stores Increase Job Openings

The country has been worried about jobs for the last four years and it is a major issue in the elections that people want to see addressed.  The president cannot solve this problem on his own, he needs the help of employers and it seems that this season they are willing to help out.

Macy’s, Walmart, Toys “R” Us, and Kohl’s are stepping up to the employment plate this holiday by employing more seasonal employees than past seasons. Macy’s boasts approximately 80,000 openings for the holidays and said Monday that the “seasonal workers will be used to staff up not only its Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s stores, but also its call centers, distribution centers and online fulfillment centers. Many of the positions will be part-time,” according to USA Today.

According to the report, most retailers ramp up hiring in October. Walmart is planning to hire more than 50,000 for the holiday season and that’s even more than last year.  They will also be offering more hours to their present employees.

Kohl’s will also hire more people than last year with more than 52,000 positions available. They expect to hire 5,700 for their distribution centers and 30 for seasonal positions in its credit operations business. Toys R Us won’t be left behind with 45,000 positions available which is up 5,000 positions from last year.

Get on the horn QUICK! and take advantage of this hiring frenzy.  The applications for seasonal positions at Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s are available at www.macysJOBS.com and www.bloomingdalesJOBS.com.
