KINGSTONG SPRINGS, Tenn. -- Kingston Spring Elementary was heavily damaged in last month’s floods, and their efforts
to rebuild could end up on national television.
The school was one of many damaged by the floods in
southern Cheatham County.
Several classrooms were filled with as much as five feet
of water.
Tuesday morning at 8 a.m., students, teachers and parents
will find out whether the school was picked for a new NBC reality show called
“School Pride.”
The new show can be compared to “Extreme Makeover: Home
Edition”, but in “School Pride” a team of experts will lend their expertise in
the makeover process, but it’s ultimately up to the student, teachers and
community to execute the actual restoration.
The show is expected to premiere on NBC and Channel 4
sometime this fall.
