An investigation remained ongoing Monday after two, separate carjackings were reported overnight in Nashville.

Officials with Metro Police said the two incidents do not appear to be connected.

The first carjacking happened at a Suntrust ATM on Jefferson Street. The victim told police that a man came up, pulled out a gun and demanded money.

The suspect was also able to get away with the victim's vehicle, described as a blue Ford van.

A few minutes later, another carjacking was reported less than a mile away. Police believe a different suspect was responsible for the incident, however it also had a similar story.

It happened near 21st Avenue and Osage Street, just off of DB Todd Boulevard. That victim said he was stopped at a stop sign when a man jumped in front of his car.

The suspect reportedly pulled a gun and forced the man out of the car. He then drove off in a black Mazda 3.

At this point, police do not have a good description of either suspect.

Even though guns were involved, no one was hurt.

Anyone with information into either of these carjackings was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. WTVF
