LIL WAYNE: Cops Arrest Tour Bus Shooter

The man accused of shooting up Lil Wayne’s tour bus, Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, is in police custody after surrounding to Cobb County, Georgia authorities early Tuesday morning.

He faces charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of a firearm by a felon, and criminal gang activity. A judge had issued an arrest warrant for Winfrey in May, but it took him almost a month before he was ready to turn himself in.

Winfrey’s booking report says he had a gunshot scar on his wrist when being taken into custody. Police believe that Winfrey -- who has ties to Weezy’s rival Young Thug -- opened fire at the bus to gain favor with the Bloods.

    He’s innocent until proven guilty, but a gunshot scar on the wrist of an accused shooter doesn’t help his case.

    Wayne allegedly has Bloods ties, too. There must be an OG they can reach out to- to kill the whole beef.

    We may learn more about a possible Young Thug connection when Winfrey goes to trial.

    With any gang-related incident, retaliation is a very real possibility -- even once in the relative safety of prison.
