KELLY ROWLAND: Loses Mother

Sad news for Kelly Rowland -- her mother Doris Rowland Garrison passed away yesterday after a long illness.

According to Vibe, Garrison died just days before what would have been her 67th birthday this weekend. Rowland and husband Tim Witherspoon just had their first child, son Titan Jewell, last month.

It sounds like Rowland might not be mourning alone. Gossip site MediaTakeout reports that Beyonce is flying back from Iceland, where she was to have spent this week celebrating Jay Z's 45th birthday, so that she can mourn with her fellow Destiny's Child bandmate.
