JERMAINE DUPRI: Ciara owes me and Usher

After the legal verdict against Pharrell and Robin Thicke, it seems many others see money on the table.

Jermaine Dupri, for one, may be gearing up to go to court over Ciara's "I Bet."

Dupri said, “Ciara’s new single is a complete rip-off of Usher's 'U Got It Bad.' I’m clear on what I made and I’m clear on how music influences people and I’m clear on chord changes and how people move things. It might not be as evident as the 'Blurred Lines' situation, but I believe the same thing happened to me.”

J.D. said collaborators Usher and songwriter Bryan-Michael Cox also noticed the similarities. They’ll be reaching out to Ciara about the matter soon.

But that’s not all. JD also says “I Bet” sounds similar to Tamia's “Still,” which he also played a role in producing. (FDRMX)

Quickies:

"Blurred Lines" may have been a rip-off and now it's inspiring potential other lawsuits.

As a producer, it's easy for J.D. to spot a copycat.

Is this legit or is J.D. being egotistical and attempting to cash-in?
