JAY-Z: Music Director of Annie Remake

Jay-Z apparently isn't taking his announced break too seriously, since he just signed on to be the musical director of the Annie re-make. The film's producer, Will Smith, confirmed the news on Good Morning America last week. Although Hova is familiar with the original music featured in the classic -- even sampling it on his hit single "Hard Knock Life" in 1999 -- he's likely going to write all new songs for the re-make.

The new Annie -- starring Willow Smith -- will have an updated script and be set in present day New York City. --Samantha Kordelski
