Jack Ass of the Week Award Goes To....

A Bronx woman pleaded guilty on Thursday for trying to profit off the Newtown, Connecticut school shootings with a phony funeral fund.

According to court records, 37-year-old Nouel Alba claimed to be the aunt of six-year-old shooting victimNoah Pozner, who was one of the 20 first graders killed in the December 14th shooting spree at the Sandy Hook Elementary School.

In the days following the tragedy, she set up a fake funeral fund and solicited donations via Facebook, email, text messages and phone calls. Prosecutors say she even "e-mailed Sandy Hook Elementary School PTA officers and then touted her fictional personal relationships with the PTA to support her false claim and induce donors to send her money."

Alba then deposited the donations she received to her personal PayPal account.

She's pleaded guilty to wire fraud and making false statements to investigators and has the possibility to receive a maximum 25 years when she's sentenced on August 29th.
