It appears that actress Angela Bassett and her husband actor Courtney Vance are having marital trouble.

For the last two months, Angela has been showing up to CELEBRITY EVENTS by herself and that got people whispering.

And last night, Angela attended a HIGH SOCIETY event at the Apollo theatre by herself - and WITHOUT her wedding or engagement ring. For most people, not wearing the rings isn't a BIG DEAL - but for Angela IT IS!!

MediaTakeOut.com did a search for ALL THE PUBLIC PICS that Angela's taken in the last 3 YEARS. And she's had her ring on in EVERY ONE OF THEM (except last night).

Hopefully those two can WORK IT OUT . . . we need couples like that to SAY TOGETHER!!
