IGGY AZALEA, LORDE: Google This!

Iggy Azalea and Lorde were the most-Googled musical artists of the year, according to figures the search engine released on Tuesday.

They edged out newcomers Sam Smith and Meghan Trainor, as well as Solange Knowles, who rounded out the Top 5 -- thanks in large part to her elevator fight with brother-in-law Jay Z. Oddly, her better-known sister Beyonce couldn't even crack the Top 10.

In terms of songs, people were most keen to check out the lyrics of "Say Something" by A Great Big World and Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" -- which, as we know, was all about the words.
