More and more athletes are coming to the conclusion that smoking weed before working out actually improves your performance – and the results you get from all that sweating and hard work.
The drug is especially effective for extreme athletes doing intense workouts because of marijuana’s ability to decrease pain, calm the stomach, and – most importantly – boost the physical high that comes with a good workout.
According to one coach who wished to remain anonymous, “People have a stereotype of a zoned-out stoner, but for a lot of people it makes them superfocused and motivated. For guys I work with, it’s like drinking two espressos. They’re psyched, ready to go.” (MensJournal)
