The Ebola crisis has gotten President Obama's full attention. On Wednesday he canceled his Thursday travel plans, for the second consecutive day, so he continue to work in the White House on the government's answer to the virus.
The president was set to go to Rhode Island Thursday for a speech and stop in New York City to raise funds for fellow Democrats running in November's midterm elections.
Instead, officials say Obama will "follow up" on a meeting held Wednesday with his cabinet about how to deal with Ebola in West Africa and the U.S. The ramped up response comes after a second Dallas nurse, who treated the Liberian man who died last week of the virus, tested positive for Ebola.
