DRAKE: Headlining Music Festival to Benefit National Landmark

Washington, D.C. is getting its own music festival this summer. The Landmark Music Festival will come to the nation's capital this September.

Drake, alt-J and The Strokes will headline the two-day concert put on by the Trust for the National Mall. The event's aim is to raise awareness and funds for restoring the National Mall. Wale, CHVRCHES and Chromeo are also among the initial list of performers.

If you're not planning to be in the District that weekend, you'll be able to stream select performances through the Live Nation Channel on Yahoo Screen.

Quickies:

  • Drake is in high demand on the festival circuit this summer. He just headlined Coachella, will headline New York's Governor's Ball in June and his own OVO Fest in Toronto in August.
  • If you're having a show in the DMV, you gotta book Wale.
  • Run the Jewels would make a nice addition. Killer Mike was just a guest at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
