DR DRE: Wins Lawsuit Against Death Row Records over The Chronic

Score one for Dr. Dre in his battle with Death Row.

According to Billboard, the a federal judge in L.A. has ruled that Dre holds 100 percent of the rights to digital sales of his 1992 debut album, The Chronic. An agreement he signed with the label when he left in 1996 stipulated that it could be sold only in the formats that existed at the time -- CD, cassette, vinyl and 8-Track.

The Aftermath CEO filed suit last year against WIDEawake/Death Row, saying that in addition to selling the album digitally without permission, it was also improperly including his music on compilations.

No word on if -- or how -- Dre plans to collect those back royalties.
