When Columbus Short hosted an album release party in Los Angeles, the people who wanted to see him most were local bounty hunters.
The singer-turned-actor was on his way to soundcheck at a club when bounty hunters and local sheriffs swooped in to make an arrest. The law was after the Scandal star because of a bench warrant over past domestic violence cases.
Short says he feared for his life when the bounty hunters showed up. Meanwhile, they were afraid he was going to flee the country and wanted to make sure to claim their cut of his $500,000 bail before it was too late. (TMZ)
Say Whaaat:
If you have warrants out against you, playing public album release parties isn’t exactly the best way to lie low.
The most surprising part about all of this is that Columbus Short has an entire album.
