Charges will be dropped against Arizona mom who left kids in car

All charges against the 35 year old mom will be dismissed after she completes what the court has ordered. Among the things the court has ordered for Shanesha Taylor to complete is parenting and substance abuse treatment programs and establishes education and child-care trust fund accounts for her children.

If you remember Taylor was arrested on 2 counts of felony child abuse after she left her 6 month and 2 year old in an unlocked car while she interviewed for a position at State Farm. The children were left in the car for 38 minutes and the police report noted that the windows were rolled down about an inch, the keys were in the ignition, the radio was playing and the temperature inside the car was 100 degrees. Shanesha Taylor told officers that she was unemployed and had a job interview but no baby sitter to watch the children. So she decided to take both boys with her to the interview during what would normally have been their nap time.

A third child was at school during the incident.

After the initial story broke, a New Jersey woman started an online fundraiser and raise over $114,000 through donations to help with the unemployed mother's legal fees and other expenses.

The children are now with family and under the supervision of the state Division of Child and Family Services.

This story upset people across the nation and brought light to the struggle many unemployed parents face daily.
