CELEB QUICKIES

  • Model Naomi Campbell allegedly assaulted her chauffer from the backseat as they drove through New York City yesterday. The driver called 9-1-1, and Naomi jumped out of the car and ran away. As of last night, police were looking for the hot-headed model.

Rapper Guru -- who suffered a heart attack that left him in a coma last weekend -- is pulling through after surgery. A source tells AllHipHop.com, "Guru is alive and recovering from his surgery. Doctors are expecting a full recovery, luckily." Guru's former Gangstar partner D-J Premiere confirmed the news on Twitter, but added that he's "still in a [medically] induced coma, he's breathing with machine help... Keep on praying, people."

Rihanna has been sued by trainer Cindy Percival, who claims the singer owes her more than 26-thousand dollars in unpaid fees from 2009, T-M-Z reports.

Mariah Carey was in true diva form at a recent show at the Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas. Reported troubles with her vocal cords forced her to see her doctor before she finally took the stage -- two hours after she was supposed to go on. But then there was the after-party at club Haze. A source tells the New York Post, "Ciara was performing as Mariah arrived, so she waited in the car, saying she didn't want to upstage her." Once inside, Carey danced and drank champagne before receiving a text from hubby Nick Cannon saying, "Come home."

Jay-Z, Russell Simmons and The Reverend Floyd Flake were expected to be subpoenaed yesterday as part of a federal investigation into the Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens, New York. Jay-Z and Reverend Flake's relationship is being scrutinized by critics because of their connections to the embattled New York Governor David Paterson.

A Florida woman was busted in East Hampton, New York after being caught trespassing on Sean

"Diddy" Combs' property twice in one week. Cemelia Green's car was impounded and her bail was set at five-thousand dollars.

The mothers of Lil Wayne (Jacinda Carter), T-Pain (Aliyah Najm) and Ne-Yo (Loraine Smith) will receive the Humanitarian Award in Music and Television at the Queens of Our Communities celebration in Atlanta Sunday.

D-M-X is doing gospel rap -- at least this weekend. T-M-Z reports that the often-incarcerated rapper is putting on a "gospel rap extravaganza" fundraiser at the Morning Star Sanctified Church in Duson, Louisiana on Saturday. According to Pastor Barbara King, D-M-X and his family have been congregation members for the last eight months and he wanted to help raise money for repairs. Tickets run 35 to 40 dollars.
