Lawyers for Beyonce say that an upstart Texas company has gotten a little too close to the star's brand -- by marketing a line of clothing with a logo reading "Feyonce."
Bey's reps filed a lawsuit on Tuesday, saying the company is "brazenly" selling merchandise with the logo despite getting a cease-and-desist letter more than a year ago. The legal papers make specific mention of a $15 mug that bears lyrics lifted from the 2008 hit “Single Ladies.” It reads: “Feyoncé: He put a ring on it.”
Beyonce is demanding that all the items to be taken off the market and destroyed, and is asking for unspecified monetary damages. (Newsweek)
