CARRABBA'S ITALIAN GRILL: Founder Arrested Twice Last Week

The founder of Carrabba's Italian Grill, the popular chain restaurant with 230 locations, was arrested twice in three days last week for terrorizing employees at a winery.

Damian Mandola, a Texas restaurateur who co-founded the restaurant in 1986, was arrested last Thursday at the Dutchman Family Winery in Texas, which he used to own until 2010. Employees say he drove up in his golf cart and tried to break in to steal a bottle of wine. He was arrested and released on $5,000 bond. Then just two days later, he returned on his golf cart and smashed up an employee's car and then threatened him with a knife and a hammer. The employee called police and Mandola was arrested again.
