Pro wrestling legend The Ultimate Warrior has died at the age of 54. The Warrior, whose real name was Jim Hellwig before he legally changed it to Warrior, collapsed outside an Arizona hotel last night (Tuesday) and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

The Ultimate Warrior was one of the most popular and exciting wrestlers of the WWE since bursting onto the scene in 1987. His death comes just three days after he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. On Monday night, he appeared on WWE's Raw for the first time in 18 years.

The WWE released a statement saying, "WWE is shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of the most iconic WWE Superstars ever, The Ultimate Warrior. We are grateful that just days ago, Warrior had the opportunity to take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame." He leaves behind a wife and two daughters.
